Additional skills
Project Facilitation/Consultation: Specializing in creative problem-solving, designing to budget, and resource acquisition for artists and organizations. Strong history of successful collaborations with local and regional organizations including The Lucky Penny, Deer Bear Wolf, Atlanta Film Festival, Out of Hand Theater, and Protect Awesome.
Construction: 10 years experience in commercial, residential, and film construction. Knowledge of OSHA construction site safety regulations. Certified and experienced in the operation of aerial work platforms. Certified and experienced in the operation of forklifts and lulls. First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
Metal Fabrication: 15 years of structural and ornamental metal working experience. High Proficiency in Oxy-Acetylene, Arc, Mig, and Tig welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Trained on the safe usage (and maintenance) of most metal fabrication equipment including angle grinders, chopsaws, horizontal band saws, benders, gas and coal forges, drill presses, brakes, shears, metal lathes, milling machines, sandblasters, and ironworkers.
Carpentry: Competent in carpentry. Trained on the safe usage and maintenance of: table saw, drill press, lathe, panel saw, band saw, miter saw, planer, most small power tools for fabrication and finishing.
Mold-Making and Casting: Proficient in many mold-making processes including Rubber molds, plastic, resin, rubber, and foam casting. Experienced and knowledgeable in metal casting.
Additional: Experienced with repairing and refurbishing tools and machinery. Experienced with a broad variety of sculptural materials and methods, including sewing, foam sculpting, puppetry, engineering and structural design, papier mache, painting, and faux finishing.
Management, leadership, pedagogy: I currently teach Mig Welding, Tig Welding, and Auto Maintenance classes at Mass Collective in Atlanta, GA. I have held management positions in commercial construction and film construction. I owned and managed a mixed use artist's maker space in Inman Park, from 2013-2017. I have designed and hosted numerous hands-on demos and workshops. I have designed workshops and activities for special events and festivals. I am passionate about sharing knowledge and ideas and enjoy facilitating creative visions for other artists and organizations.
